The Studio FAQ

How does it work?

You are the director and the photographer. We provide the professional studio setup and a small hand-held remote. A live monitor in front of you shows your preview so you can find your best angle and your photo appears instantly after every click!

Is it private?

100%. We’ll show you the setup for two minutes, then we leave and close the door. Just you, your choice of music, and the camera.

Bringing a plus one?

Absolutely. All our session options are great for solo shots or a duo. If you’re planning to add more people into the frame, that is totally doable. Just note that additional charges per person apply. More faces, more fun. :sparkles:

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel a 10/10.  Booked a longer session? Bring a few outfits! We have a private spot  for quick changes so you can switch it up with ease.

When do I get my photos?

No long waits here. We’ll email a link to your full, high-res gallery within 24 hours. Every single photo you take is yours to keep.

Colour or B&W?

It’s all about your personal style. We can set the studio to either Black & White or Colour right at the start, ensuring your photos match the look you’re going for.

Can I book the studio for something else?

We love seeing our space used in creative ways! Whether it’s for a brand shoot, a specific concept, or a collaboration, we’re all ears. Visit our Contact Us page or drop us a message on Instagram to discuss your vision.

What is the gift card policy?

Our digital AQ gift cards are non refundable and valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Designed to be enjoyed at their own pace.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

We know life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice.
Because your studio time is reserved exclusively for you, cancellations, reschedules within 48 hours, or no-shows will be charged at 100% of the session price.

What if I arrive late to my session?

We want you to enjoy every minute of your session so we recommend arriving on time or a few minutes early to get settled and feel ready.

Because sessions are scheduled back to back, your booking will still end at the original finish time even if you arrive late. If you’re more than 10 minutes late, your session may need to be shortened or, in some cases, cancelled. We’re unable to offer refunds for time that’s missed.

To keep things stress free and unhurried, we suggest allowing a little extra travel time so you can walk in relaxed.

Are pets allowed?

As much as we love our furry friends, the studio is currently a pet-free zone.

This helps us keep the space clean, professional, and comfortable for all customers, including those with allergies. It also allows us to maintain our backdrops and equipment in great condition for every session.

Can I wear shoes in the studio?

Our photos are taken against a backdrop so marks from outdoor shoes can easily show up in your final images. To keep the space clean and your photos looking their best, outdoor shoes are not allowed in the shooting area.

Most guests choose to go barefoot or wear socks which works beautifully on camera.
If shoes are an important part of your look, that’s absolutely fine. We just ask that:
-shoe soles are clean before you arrive
-soles are fully covered with paper or masking tape to prevent marks

You’re welcome to tape your shoes at home or arrive about 10 minutes early to use our paper/masking tape we provide in the studio.

Please note that our editing does not include removing shoe marks from the backdrop, so following this step helps ensure the best possible results.

Can I walk in or book on site?

We do prioritise appointment bookings but spontaneous visits are always welcome. Feel free to pop in, say hello at reception, and check on the day. It depends on how busy we are but we will always do our best to make it work.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Our studio is located on ground floor level so access is nice and easy with no stairs to worry about.

Is the studio suitable for kids or families?

Absolutely. Families are very welcome. You can even use the studio for special moments like communion, confirmation, or graduation photos if you like. Big milestones deserve good lighting too!

Can I extend my session on the day?

Yes, however this depends on availability as we may have another booking right after yours. If you are thinking of extending, just check in with us before your session starts and we will let you know what is possible.

Are the photos edited?

We do not manually edit or retouch photos. All images go through a fully automated enhancement process with no human intervention before delivery. Clean, consistent, and fuss free.

Can I bring children or babies?

Yes, of course. Little ones are welcome. Just keep in mind that parents or guardians are fully responsible for supervising them during the session.

Parking & Arrival

Parking: There is convenient street parking located in front of our shop. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to find a spot and settle in.

Finding the Studio: Once you arrive, please come in and confirm your appointment with us at the desk.

Entrance: Since we value your privacy, the studio is accessible by appointment only. Your session starts right on time!

Good to Know

Early Arrival: If you arrive early, feel free to relax and wait in our seating area.

Accessibility: We are located on the ground floor for easy access. Accessibility is one of our priorities. Everyone gets a chance to experience our services.
